There we were, me & my bud Jeremy McGhee. We were about to climb a mountain and were pretty damn stoked about it. The morning had begun without much of a plan, but as the coffee started flowing, so did our desire for adventure. We picked a peak, rallied Jeff, gathered gear and off we were to scramble a mountain.
Most noticeable in this shot may be the big smiles and epic view, but if you look closely, you'll notice Jeremy is on a very unique piece of machinery. It's a mountain bike that enables him to run and hike without the use of his legs, because yes, Jerms is a paraplegic, and no, he doesn't let it stop him from charging hard.
Fast forward to half a day later, we had summited the mountain and were on our way back down, feeling as invincible as can be, when all of a sudden Jeremy flies over the handle bars of his mountain bike. He was fine, but the bike not so much. It had malfunctioned and broken to the point it was irreparable. So if you can, I'd be stoked if you could help get my friend back on the trail, because hiking sucks without him and I couldn't stand to hear him say "see you later!" as I set off down the trail without him. From Jeremy: "I dont want this bike. I want to put on my shoes, go out the door and run the trail. Well, thats not an option for me and i'm not going to dwell on it. I'm going to do the best with what i have and how i "run" the trail is with this bike."
Thanks for reading thus far amigos and for anything you can contribute. And hey, thanks for the rad photos Jeff Fox. See you later!!
